چکیده
Abstract The most common FRP materials used are carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRPs), and glass (GFRPs). use of CFRPs has grown rapidly in the construction industry, specifically structural retrofitting, due to their strengthening property CFRP. moreover high strength, lightweight, noncorrosive, easy-to-install materials. In present study, six concrete slab specimens included two control by traditional steel reinforcements other polymer CFRP bars without laminated strips. remaining four interiorly strengthened laminates strips with different scheme layouts named Type 1 2. were tested under a uniformly distributed load applied at top surface area each specimen up failure. parameters considered study amount layout. Test results indicated that strength carrying capacity failure mode differ based on reinforcement type presence

Shear strengthening of reinforced concrete beams with CFRP
The current paper reviews existing design guidelines for strengthening beams in shear with carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets and proposes a modification to Concrete Society Technical Report TR55. It goes on to present the results of an experimental programme which evaluated the contribution of CFRP sheets towards the shear strength of continuous reinforced concrete (RC) beams. A tot...
متن کاملReview on bonding techniques of CFRP in strengthening concrete structures
Selecting appropriate bonding technique is crucial for strengthening and repairing concrete structures as different bonding techniques have different performances. A state-of–the-art review of different bonding techniques that is epoxy bonding technique, prestressed strengthening technique, unbonded anchored technique/mechanically fastened technique using CFRP is dealt and the corresponding adv...
متن کاملStrengthening of Corroded Reinforced SCC-RAP Members with CFRP
Corrosion is one of the major problems affecting the durability of reinforced concrete (RC) structures. This paper investigates the effect of rebar corrosion on the performance of reinforced self-consolidating concrete (SCC) members and the effectiveness of repair. A control RC member, which has no corrosion problem, was prepared to compare against corroded and repaired members. A number of rei...
متن کاملStrut Deformation in CFRP-Strengthened Reinforced Concrete Deep Beams
Strut-and-tie model (STM) method evolved as one of the most useful designs for shear critical structures and discontinuity regions (D-regions). It provides widespread applications in the design of deep beams as recommended by many codes. The estimation of bottle-shaped strut dimensions, as a main constituent of STM, is essential in design calculations. The application of carbon fibre reinforced...
متن کاملStrengthening of RC Beams with Large Openings in Shear by CFRP Laminates: 2D Nonlinear FE Analysis
To date, theoretical studies concerning the Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) strengthening of RC beams with openings have been rather limited. In addition, various numerical analyses presented so far have effectively simulated the behaviour of solid beam strengthened by FRP material. In this paper, a two dimensional nonlinear finite element analysis is presented to validate against the la...
